ignitor chips keep going bad help

ok guys, my ignitor cip went bad so i replaced it and the car ran again. a few days later the ignitor chip went bad , this is my 4th one now. any tips would be great.

i have an black top sr20 s13

i too have the same problem and cant figure it out and is pissing me off.anybody got any thing to say?sry not trying to thread jack

couple of thoughts for you guys, the ign module (or igniter chip)recieves a primary power and ground and is switched by the ecu to tell each coil to fire. i would first chech your ground. poor groud may cause failue issues. also is your igniter mounted in a location nest to high heat? heat is the biggest enemy to ign modules.

i have already done a continuity check and my ignitor is located next to the wiper motor which i havent used in a while since i just got it running again and just fried a another ignitor i guess ill check my power wires by the battery again maybe a wire is grounding cause a surge thanx though
