Where does the ignitor chip wire in on a R33 RB25DET???

When I got my clip i found it by the airbox with the wires on both sides cut. I have the motor removed from the body and have looked all over it and do not see where any wires have been cut.

Should go on the back of the coil cover, but if you have only one relay under the dash you have a series 2 RB25 which does not require a seperate igniter chip. Its integrated into the ECU on the series 2 motors.

I know i am prolly gonna get flamed for asking this, but... how do i tell if it is a series 2?? Are there obvious things to look for??

Which relay are you talking bout?? Is it mentioned in the how to wire post?

R33 does not have a external ignitor; it is in each coil pack........Series to has a black connector at the coil packs not a oval gray one..

see the black plug by the firewall . That is a series II. On the series one, you would have an ignitor bolted into those two screw holes on the spark plug cover.

Pretty lame that Nissan couldn't have made a different cover for the series II that didn't have those screw holes.

Thanks for the pic, it looks exactly like mine. I guess now i can sell my ic that came with the clip.

Extra money to reinvest in the project is always a plus.
