Well my first problem is while i was trying to hook up my aftermarket tach, a wire that i had loose behind the instrument cluster touched a screw on the back of it while the car was running and shorted something out and the car stalled. My real question is, i was wondering if at your ignitor chip you are suppose to have power on both sides, because only have power on the side with 4 connectors, and when i hook up the ignitor no power goes to the other side. does this mean me ignitor is pooched?thanks

not sure, but a really good question. I would think the ignitor chip is blown. Bump.

ea dude, your supposed to have power on both sides. The constant power goes to the chip. The chip just divides up the energy and sends pulses to the coilpacks. If your only getting power on one side, it's busted. I'm 95% sure about that

correct me if I'm wrong.

good luck

thanks, but does that mean that it should have constant power when the key is on, or only when the motor is cranking?thanks again
