I am about to finish my motor swap this weekend and was wondering where is the ignitor chip located? Is it mounted to the motor? If it isn't I have a box of SR20DET stuff that Heavy Throttle sent me with the motor. I think it's in there if it isn't attached to the motor, therefore do I have to mount it to the body? Thanks for the help.

You can mount it to the passenger side strut tower. Mine is next to it in the pic but not mounted.

It's supposed to be on our driver side tower, but since the harness goes in on the opposite side, if you don't want to extend those wires, you can mount it on the passenger side.

Well Heavy Throttle finished my wiring and it will be here tomorrow. So I'll see what they did. Also what plugs go through the ignitor. I am assuming one is on the wiring harness but where does the other come from?:(

Both plugs are on the wiring harness. It should be obvious when you get your harness, if it isn't I believe one is a 4 wire plug, one is 5. The pins are all in a row and match the ignitor :-)

Great thanks for the reply, I was going over the wiring in my head all night. I could hardly sleep, can't wait to hook it all up.:D

Now you know how I felt when I spliced my SR and KA harnesses, except it took a week! I was dreaming blue wire with red stripe, yellow and red to pin #32 :-)

Good luck...Martin.
