igniton switch 99 pathfinder

I was wondering if anyone has changed the igntion switch in a 99 pathfinder. Somehow we got some dirt into the tumblers and now if i take the key out i can't get it back in. So how do you remove the ingnition switch and is the antitheft connected to the switch or is it part of it. thanks

you have to use a punch on the break away bolts from the top. The NATS IMMU is part of the ignition switch. Try useing some wd40 in there first see if that loosens everything up. the break away bolts can be a bear to get out and you need to buy new ones to reinstall the ignition switch.
