Title speaks for itself.

I am installing automatic headlights onto my tiida, have wired everything up fine except i cant find the damn ignition wire under the hood.

If someone knows how i could find it, could you please help!

Would it be easier to run a wire through into the cabin? if so, how? and.. that would be handy to know anyway lol..

Thanks in advance, heres some pics to show what ive done:

Ignore my ticks, they are lies. I thought i found the ignition wire but it was something else and i blew a bunch of fuses when trying to run the headlights.

You know when you get to that point and say "Ok... ive f***ed something up here..."

Ok so i cant find the ignition wire, so for a temporary fix i decided to wire it directly to the battery with a switch. It works, but i keep blowing fuses.

I think i have attached the wires from the control unit to the wrong wires in my car. The wires i have used were found by trial and error (so yeah... probably the wrong ones)

Also... in hindsight, opening up the ECU box is probably not where i should be messing around.

Could someone help me find the correct wires to install this thing properly please.

You want a power source that is controlled by the ignition, correct?

Correct, i don't want the light to automatically come on if its dark and the engine is off.

The diagram I have for an '07 Tiida shows a blue wire going into that distribution block that is controlled by the ignition switch. It's supposed to be position #4 into a 40 Amp fuse.

I don't think it will have changed, but I would use the multimeter in your picture to verify that is the correct wire. It should not affect the circuit or blow a fuse using a multimeter.
