This is the last issue keeping me from driving my truck daily, I have taken care of every thing else.
my 84 z24's primary ignition coil is getting hot as hell when its running and doesn't produce spark. So the truck runs on 2 cylinders at the moment.
I have gone through all the diagnostic steps to locate the problem,
but there doesn't seem to be any information about this particular issue. It has voltage across the terminals, has proper resistance (both are new) to spec, new plugs,
wires, distributor, cap and rotor.
So because of my inability to find any info about this, has anyone experienced this before?

Look up the circuit and see if there's supposed to be a "dropping Resistor" in series w/coil ?? Otherwise looks like coil itself - gotta substitute a "known good " coil in there and see what it does.
