Ok I tried searching and came up with pitta a lot. i assume that means a lot of trouble to do.

Anyways I havent driven my car in a while and I lost my key working one day. Well It never leaves the garage and I dont wanna put 200 bucks in it just yet for all new cylinders.

I would like to get the ignition off.

I took the electrical side off already and I am contemplating just doing the push button with an additional toggle switch wired. My ignition switch has no bolts holding just two studs. Do I have to cut it off or what. Also to anyone who has done this, is it worth it. My car literally leaves the garage a couple times a year. Thanks in advance. Also I checked my chiltons and didnt find ne thing either. It frustrates me too bad, it is on CD.Shaun

You need to drill out the bolts, then re-install with new bolts that will shear off when tightened.

Well i figured out the starter cutoff on the ignition, but I am curious on the push button start setup. basically the wiring of it. I am gonna search and if I cant find anything I will follow up in a couple weeks with a write up. Also a new posting so it can be searched. Any questions about "hot wiring" 240's I can answer quickly. Thanks for the help.Shaun
