So, I have tried searching around a few various forums and haven't been able to find the answer to my specific question. I know the base timing for the vh45 should be 15 degrees before top dead center but what about the advance and total timing? I have a standalone so I have to set all of this myself in the computer

What ecu do you have? Generally most have forums on their websites where you can ask for support. I.e they can get help you with a base map to get it started. Regardless if it was bought new or second hand.

I can already generate a base map to get it started. I'm more so concerned with having the correct amount of ignition timing to not have any worries while I break in the clutch before I can actually tune the ignition timing

A timing of 36 degrees total should run and work fine for practically any 4 stroke auto engine on the planet...........................I'd make sure it didn't hit that total until like 3000+ rpm and for sure not before 2500, that should allow you to tune out fine and with some power and clean ignition running until you get around to the exact timing.
