Ok guys today i put my car (91 240sx)onto the engine anailizer and it's only doing AITE. It showed that my first cylinder was kind of firing funny or not right or something like that. So we went to check the timing with the timing gun. Now here's the problem/questionThe chart under the hood said 15degree BTDC, so the little pin(the scale) at the crankshaft pulley suppose to be pointing in between the last mark and the 2nd to last mark right? (from left to right, last mean all the way to the right side.) We disconnected the TPS(as told by the manual), while we were doing the timing we couldn't get in between those 2 mark because the distributor is already twisted all the way(clockwise). We can only come close to the 2nd to last mark. When we hook back up the TPS we check the timing again the timing mark jumped back pointing to the middle section of the timingmarks.(My instructor said that could be normal) And after all these, my idle went up to around 850. I test drive it, didn't really feel any difference.

So I just want to know did I did my timing right or wrong? and is it normal that the distributor is all the way twisted toward the right(clockwise)?

So please help and any suggestion/correction is appreciated. Thank you.
