Ignition system

I am trying to get a MSD ignition system or a HKS twin power (distributor type )does anyone have reviews on this .... on which product is better for the money ......

if you are reffering to ignition boxes, i have heard they are a waste.

msd ignition system number 6A is a great system but you need the tach adapter part # 8911 or 8910 (cant remember its been so long)

their not a waste but with more spark you need good plugs/wires etc. it all depends on what your looking for out of a multi spark ign system.

your aftermarket ignition will also get rid of that annoying restrictor plate, so just incase your ever in the mood, you can hit speeds above 180km (108 m) which is always a plus in my books. and as allthrottle mentioned, bigger spark, which means better response and acceleration.i was thinkin about doing this as well, and when/if i do, i'm going with the msd ignition.

i installed the 6A system in my friends 89 SOHC and it works great,but just remember you need the 8910/8911(?)tach adapter to make the system work.

Thats what i was thinking.. is ther any bad side to installing the msd ignition .. ?just curious..

plugs go a little faster,but i havent seen any other side effects(ignition lag,over firing,etc.)the systems is pretty simple and reliable
