Okay so many of you have seen my build "true pig" and if you have you know that it isn't stock by any means. My question is how many of you guys out there are running aftermarket ignition systems. And what brand. I've been doin alot of research on this over the past few days to see if it's really worth the money. I know mine is operating fine but not sure if fine is good enough any more. I was having hiccups over 7000rpms or high boost passes on the Dyno "28psi+". So let's here some input from you all out there on gains if any or problems you've had. I've been neglecting this part of my build for so long I almost had forgotten

It needs to be a little shorter, can you trim it down?

I have seen a few guys running MSD, don't know how much they gained.

on my screen its coming up as 2 vertical boxes. not 2 horizontal ones, so its extra long.

Actually its worse now. It's 3 images scattered on my screen. Can you just make them into one, but shorter? If not I might have to give you my little ponys.

lol, ponies would have been funny, but sig looks good to me now.

Anywho, my friend used to run an msd ignition on his 280z, when I asked him about it the response I got was something like, "ehh, it was alright...." so when I asked if he liked it/was it worth it he told me it worked and he liked it, but then he recommended looking at the HKS twin power ignition amplifier. Don't have any first-hand experience tho, but maybe this will get people thinking back to the original topic?

I honestly dont think it is anything special. my buddy put it on his cavalier and swore by it, but my buttometer thought it felt the same. but anywho i dont think ill be purchasing it unless i get some actual results from someone on here. the 400ish dollars can pay for some of my fab work to twin charge that beast in my sig. soon to be Ka24e-ScT

Partially looked at your build, and that is just awesome. Glad you didn't succumb to the dohc and built a mean lookin beast. Also, my nephew went to camp pendleton for basic training, awesome weather down there. Looking forward to more

why dont you try running a relay on the ignition system. that way your coil will get charging voltage 13+ volts compare to 12+v on the battery. theres a diy on this somewhere on this site

yeah the weather is nice...usually. Ive been there for almost six years now. there will definetly be more on that build, especially with the supercharger coming to play with the turbo.
