Ok, well for reasons I won't get into on here, the ginition switch on my old 89 S13 needs to be replaced. I have a friend with a S13 also that has an ignition switch he is willing to sell me. What I need to know is what's all involved in swapping out the assembly? If anyone has, or knows anyone else who has done this before and has any info/tips I could use all the help I can get.TIARyan

Yeah thats what I'm talking about. A few months back I had lost all my keys, and was needing to get my car cranked, so I had a friend of mine yank out the ignition with a dent puller. I really wish i wouldn't of had him do it now, but o well it's to late at this point. But I have a friend with a wrecked 240 thats gonna sell me his ignition switch.Ryan

Well the switch is held together by two rivit type bolts. Drill the heads off the bolts and the bolts twist right off. Be careful not to damage the u-piece of the switch. That keeps everything on the steering shaft. Head to the hardware store with one of the bolts you drilled out and get the same lenght bolt with the same thread. Only difference is now you have the option to get one with an allen key head. Now put everything back to gether, plug the plugs back in and youready to put the dash back together. Bolts cost about $1.20
