I would just like to know the best place to buy an ignition switch from. I have been doing business with O'Reilly that last couple of times and have had one switch that failed in the on position and now the one that I have in my car does not let the car crank over every time. Where is a good place to buy one? Thanks.

if i was going to buy one, i would probobly go with one from the dealership, as OEM parts are generaly better.

I'll second that.

There's a reason we buy Japanese cars.

I purchased a complete lock-set (ignition, doors trunk, glove-box) from Nissan, and I tell ya what. Theres nothing like OEM quality to make things work the first time.

Hey guys,I got my ignition switch in from nissan and must say that I am very happy with it so far. Word of advice to everybody else, buying parts from O'Reilly is very risky and can be a waste of time and money. I went through two switches from them.

*breaks out the spellbook to revive old threads from the dead*

I've got what appears to be a bad ignition switch on my 95 240SX that I'm thinking about replacing. I found a thread where NISTECH said that, if only the electrical part of the switch is being replaced (not the lock and cylinder), I won't have to remove the sheared screws (thankfully). However, what was not immediately clear is whether or not the steering wheel has to be removed. Anyone have any info on that?

Thanks.
