G'day GentsHave received a couple of ideas from members on how to remove the (stuck) ignition key. However, none of the suggestions seemed to work and I still can't remove the key from the ignition switch. I guess I am going to have to remove the entire ignition switch and replace it with a new one. Can you blokes give me any clues on how this is done? I have looked in "SEARCH" and can't seem to find anything there.

Thanks DaedalusI DID do the search thing but kept getting the message that there was nothing there. However, after checking out your links I went back and searched again and behold there they were. Buggered if I know what I did wrong.I have other issues with the Q but, with your help I'll tackle them one at a time. Thanks heaps for your info.

PS. I've bid on a CHILTON's Nissan/Infinti 1989-2000 Service Manual on ebay. My ebay ID is greg9029. What do you think it worth?

If it's like US Chilton manuals, not even your time to click on the bid.

Get the FSM and TSB.

Thanks again for the cluesI took the punt that the problem WAS electrical and asked the local Auto sparkey to check it out. Seems like the villain was a solenoid down around the transmission somewhere. This in turn operates the little solenoid up near the steering wheel which in turn lets you push the little button that allows you to turn the key to the lock position and REMOVE THE KEY. Every time I go to do ANYTHING on the Q is a whole new adventure...what an exciting vehicle. Is it normal for the horn just fade (like the interior lights) away instead of shutting off straight away? If not how do I fix them?

When does the horn sound, other than depressing the center cushion in the wheel?

It only sounds when I push the button. It sounds great but just doesn't cut out straight away.... it just fades away....only lasts about 5 seconds but enough to burr up anyone I might have to honk at.
