So today I get in my car and nothing happened when I tried to start it. I looked around to try and narrow down the problem and I think the ignition is bad but not 100%

If I put my key in the ignition, the beep goes off as it should, but after that nothing not even the radio. The lights and door locks work as they would even with the key out, but no power windows or radio as mentioned when in ACC or anything after. I dont hear any relays go off when I turn it to ON like fuel pump, dash lights, etc, and no attempt to crank. I tried jumping it just to make sure but as I thought that did nothing because I have power and bright lights. No blown fuses either. It sounds like the ignition is not sending the signal to turn stuff on. So my question is what else could it be besides an ignition?

On a sidenote, there are 4 relays next to the fuses in the interior fusebox but I dont know what they are since the cover doesn't tell me. But I have never seen a bad relay anyways.

Any opinions?

are your terminals completely good? I had something similar happen to my car. Was sitting in the car listening to music, but It wouldn't crank when I tried to crank. New terminals and now it starts everytime with no delay.

Other than ignition IDK. You already have the ignition on the way, so good luck.

Ok so not getting power to the ignition switch. I put a test light on all the leads that come from the wiring harness to the switch and nothing on either wire, even while turned to ACC/RUN/START. I guess the question now is, does power come from the battery -> fuse -> ignition -> relay?? Or is it battery -> fuse -> relay -> ignition??

I suspect a loose wire now or a stuck relay. Of course its one of the hardest things to find, fml

Swap the ignition relay with a known working relay from something else. If that doesn't work, check the wiring from the relay to the battery, then to the relay to the fuse, then the fuse to the ignition. Or however the wiring goes. Just go one wire segment at a time. K?

I have a chilton handbook but it doesnt really help me. It doesnt tell me what goes to the ignition switch or where it comes from (relay, fusebox..). I have swapped all the relays with one another and nothing so I highly suspect a loose wire. Im having as buddy look at it soon to give advise
