Ignition Problems?

Hi I just picked up a 89 240sx with a 92 KA24de in it, It is having some electrical issues, Im thinking the ignition but nothing electrical like the radio any lighting work unless the car is fully on with the engine running, Sometimes the power will no go on even when the car is fully on, I restart it a few times and eventually the elec. power will turn on such as lights, btw the ingition feels a little loose when I put in the key.any usefull info would help.

First thing you should do is check all your fuses in the kick panel and both fuse blocks in the engine bay.

you ignition switch is probably bad.
