sr20det's dont have distributors...therefore no cap, rotor, or wires......so that doesnt help him too much. try checking your timming or your fuel could be messed up.

Sounds like a boost leak, pull on all of your intercooler piping to make sure it is attached securely. A bad MAFS can also cause this problem but I doubt thats it since it only happens when you try to accelerate. When you step on it, you create boost, which will push loose pipes/couplers away, making the engine dump fuel for air that it never gets.

well thanks for all the advice....but it like it just all of a sudden started having this problem... it was idling bad, so i changed the spark plugs and now it idles fine and runs fine, accept when i step on the gas to accelerate... i checked the intercooler.....i think my O2 sensor is out, could that effect the acceleration??

before you go out and drop money on an o2 sensor i'd go over your ic piping and tighten all of your couplers and also check the couplers for any wear and tear.

i doubt that a bad o2 sensor would cause hesitation. if nothing else, change it so you can get better gas milage.

When my car had a boost leak it sounded like crap running. The engine clicked very loudly. Unless hes just gettign a leak when he hits boost. Mine blew the pipe off and ran but when you built any boost it would fall on its face.

o2 sensor isn't read under full throttle scenarios. closed loop.i agree with boost leak. check all couplers and the bov. also check for air leak after the maf, but before the turbo.
