Ignition problem

I have a problem! I have no spark and it's driving me crazy. I have Done all of the FSM procedures for ignition problems; checked the control module, resistor-capacitor thing, checked resistance in the coil, checked for continuity between the ECU terminals and the control module and resistor-capacitor thing. Everything has checked out so far... what else is there?? the cap and rotor don't look too bad and are maybe a year old. The really strange part of this is that it happened right when I discovered I need a head gasket. I was cranking it, it fired maybe twice, then no compression or spark. I think my car just hates me for wrecking it.

I assume this is a KA24DE or are you swapped?
