Ignition on, press gas... there is a strange buzzing

1991 240sx with auto trans. You get in turn the ignition to on and press the foot feed and there is an odd buzzing comeing from something on the transmission. Anyone able to identify that ? and is it serious?

Are you actually starting the engine or just turning the ignition key to on?does the buzzing only start once you depress gas pedal? i know that relays buzz.

Did not start engine, just turned ign on.. pressed down on peddle.... as it goes down there is a buzzing noise that changes as it moves down.

Just tried it again today and it wont do it?>???????????

You mentioned a relay... ? which one and what does it do?

Doesn't sound like relay. Im not familiar enough with fuel system to hazard a guess.
