Hi, everybody:

Yesterday I went out to my driveway only to find that my battery was dead... Took it out, checked the water levels, really really low, refilled the battery water, and put it on the charger for a few hours.

Then, I put it back in my car, and the car started. But now, when I turn the ignition to "off", the car doesn't turn off.. All of the accessories, etc, shut down, but the engine just keeps idiling. The only way I can turn off the engine is to put it in gear and drop the clutch (stall it out)...

What could be wrong? Is this something electrical?

Could this eventually kill my battery (maybe explaining why my battery died in the first place)

Much thanks

It could be possible that your ecm relay or ecu relay is stuck or shorted. Start the car up shut it off and start tapping on the relays to see if it shuts off. Sometimes this will happen if you have a electric cooling fan wired in wrong but usually the car quits when the fan stops rotating.
