ignition lock mechanish

its being lame, it wont let me press the button to take out the key without pushing it up until i hear a little click, then my steering wheel locks no matter what i do and i can never turn the key to turn it back on until i jiggle the steering wheel like mad, also at around 4000 rmp it starts making that horrible screeching sound that you usually hear when the belt is loose, i took it to midas and they had some guy ride with me to show him what i meant and he said it was the overdrive, and that i had to strip the trasnmission which actually sounds ridiculous because it sounds like its coming from the engnine not the trasnmission, what do you guys think i should do, thats the only issues i'm having with the car oh yeah and also, when i back up and dont hold the brake it makes a loud scrapping sound like something is scrapping on the floor when i hold the brake it doesnt do it, any suggestions?

take the cover of the steering colum so you can see the key lock thing. there is a spring and stuff the same thing happend to my car i just stuck a peace of tape and it was all good

mine makes that sound too when im backing up unless i get on the brake a lil bit then it stops...ive been curious as to what that is too
