so my friend is doing his 5spd swap right now. he calls me up the other day tells about the clutch pedal he picked up from another car doesn't fit in his 240 DUHHHH He also told about how he unplugged this little green box that was in the way.

I instantly knew what he was talking about and told him not to do that because he wouldn't be able to pull the key back out of the ignition anymore. So instead of listening to me and instead of putting it back in he went to put his key in. he found out i was right. and he quickly put the green box back in and hooked it back up. BUT now... he cant get his key out of the ignition and hes telling me that the little button on the ignition is stuck solid and wont push in AT ALL.

He's been taking it back out and plugging it in trying to get his key back out but he cant.

Do any of you know how to get his key out??? before soemone drives off with his car.

were probably gonna end up taking it all apart form the steering column and removing the key form the ignition manually lol

if you just take off the plastic cover to the steering column which is like four screws, there is a small red lever above the button that you can pull to release the button that you then push to release the key lol. you may even be able to access it by taking off the tiny cover that covers the ignition and the button.
