Any help would be appreciated, using the black electronic key (have tried both) the key will not turn from the lock position

taking out emergency key, that won't turn the car on, but does enable me to get out of park

any advice? says that I can reprogram the key by inserting it in the ignition 6 times in less than ten seconds, but think that will only reprogram key for gaining entry into the vehicle

no idea what happened, was driving fine, parked, came back out and put key in ignition, just will not turn... any ideas or thoughts?

please feel free to email me directly on john.rundlof@gmail so i can figure this out

thanks in advance

First check the battery in the remote. Second, it sounds like you need to have both keys reprogrammed (by the dealer not the DIY that only does the doors).

Unfortunately, no longer a Nissan or Infiniti, but continuing here at NICO!

Or else, the ECU is broken (still needs a trip to the dealer) and it will not read the key transponder chip.

Please let us know how it eventually works out for you on this, John!

Any luck yet? This may sound really dumb but try turning the steering wheel left to right while turning the key. This has worked on my other autos.

Professor - any luck with this. I just bought a 2002 Q45 and the second day (today) I had it experienced the same problem. As you can guess, I am less than thrilled. Would like to hear about the outcome so I know what to expect with my 2 ton paperweight...
