Ignition Issues?

Has anyone had any issues concerning their ignition causing the power windows and locks not to work? My mechanic and I have checked everything we know (power window amp, relays, etc.). Currently, my vert is at the shop, and he's taken the steering column trim off to see if there are any ignition switch issues.

Please, anyone ever heard of anything like this?

The only common link between the two systems I can find is a circuit breaker (listed as M7 on the harness layout)

Aside from that, the only other common link is a body ground, but I'm sure that would take out more than just the windows and locks.

I know you've probably checked this, but I feel the need to ask anyways just to be sure. Have you checked the door connector for the driver side door harness? If the driver door controls go out of the loop, the windows and locks won't work. Even from the passenger controls.

My mechanic got the windows to work from the power amp behind the rear seat. Would they work if the door harness was messed up? Man, I'm desperate! My car is listed on cars.com, and I've received SEVERAL call & emails, and I've got to get this thing taken care of!

Here's the weird thing: every eight seconds, I hear a buzz, then the breaker kicks. During the time where the buzz is heard, I can work my windows. It took me a half-hour to put up the driver's side window that way (no, I didn't just kill a half-hour doing that...I was on my way to the mechanic's shop). It all started when my engine was running rough. I narrowed it down to cylinder 4, but on my way home, that's when my windows started acting up. I changed my plugs, and that took care of the motor problems, but I'm still dealing with the windows. Help, HELP!!

There is nothing more frustrating than miscellaneous electrical issues when working on a car...

I feel for you, but can't offer much help other than what's all ready been said. Good luck!
