I have a '93 240SX automatic with 122,850 miles on it. The other day it just decided to not start. I turn the key and everything on the dash lights up like it should and then nothing. I'm hoping it's the interlock on the shift lever that is keeping it from starting. Has anyone else had this problem.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

try it in neutral. if no worky you may need to short the starter just to be sure it works. you do that with a screwdriver between the two big terminals on the solenoid. carefull, it will spark.

I don't know whether it's a common problem (Chris could likely tell you) but for the record, my '90 auto has intermittent issues with that switch.
