As the title states, ignition is cutting out with WOT and under full boost (stock 10PSI) Ignitor is relatively new and worked fine when I drove the car back in December, also thought a coilpack could be the culprit, but I replaced it and moved them all around as well. Under normal driving it's fine, and in most gears even with WOT wont happen until above 4k RPM's. We're trying to figure it out but I thought I'd give you guys a chance to chime in with your thoughts. * oh, and don't tell me to check MAFS, wiring and all that stuff, the car did run fine and nothing has changed with that. The problem first started about a month ago, when my alternator died. *

Thanks,Dan

Maybe you removed one of the grounds when you changed the alt or maybe its just loose.

Are you running the stock turbo??

While that is something that hasn't been checked yet, the problem started just before I changed alternators, so it's unlikely. Yes, stock turbo, only mods are front mount and custom up-pipe.

when the battery drained it could have warped a cell...

Do a battery load test. Shouldn't dip below 9.8v while cranking.

If that checks out, check alt output at terminal on alt..

IF that is 13.5v +, do a voltage drop test on the alt charge cable.

Now your charging system is up to par.

Check your ground for your coilpacks/ignitor harness for corrosion.

Swap your coilpacks around and see if it makes a difference.

And search on the internet for the j30/z32 ignitor swap. It takes 5 minutes and you can get them online fairly cheap.

Or if your too lazy to repin 14 wires, I have a spare stock rb20 ignitor lying around.

Already replaced the coilpacks and have a J30 ignitor. All grounds are as they should be. Battery is minty fresh too.
