Other then the ecu, wiring harness, grounds, ptu, coils and cas is there anything mechanical that would stop an engine from getting a spark?

of course also the spark plugs.

Not getting spark? Are you sure, if so how did you test for no spark?

Details.... we need details to assist.

Well no spark because when I removed a coil with spark plug and grounded it no spark. One of my buddies mentioned that when I spun the cas to hear the injectors tick that he could barely hear them tick....tried a cas from an engine that was known to work and still could barely here them tick. How loud should the injectors be when injectors they fire. At any rate tested my new ptu with an analog meter and it passed I've since ordered a new wiring harness and hope that will do the trick. Timing would not stop the engine from sparking would it?

the timing simply moves when the spark occours, as for the injectors, the sidefeeds burried in the manifold should be rpetty quiet, and if you can hear them click then I'd say you're fine there, and you've already determined the problem to be spark right? I'm not too familar with the system on the Z32 does the cas send only one signal to the ecu or 2 like all earlier z's? although you already tried a known working cas.....so next step would be the ecu, if you have access to another car it might be worth swapping ecu's

I have same problem, driver side rear plug and sometimes passenger side fail to spark, check like you with the plug, AFTER I had replaced the two back coils. So I got a new wiring harness, and now I can't figure how to get it through the firewall to the ECU without removing the dashboard!! Any suggestions? Help.
