I replaced my spark plugs and noticed I had a cracked coil on the #5 cylinder. I bought another one with a new plug boot and when I installed the old coil back on I noticed the coil didnt seat well into the new plug ONLY on that cylinder. I removed and re-installed the #5 plug thinking I didnt intstall it correctly but I did and still had it not seat right. It stuck up a little farther than the rest. When my NEW coil came it did the same thing. I verified that the boot was fully seated on the new coil and still problems. Are aftermarket plugs a little off when it comes to size? I got some platinums from Autozone and they were for my year car. All the others worked just fine.

Aftermarket plugs cause a lot of known to cause a whole host of problems on J's. You should stick to OEM Nissan plugs to avoid all sorts of headaches.
