Ignition coil

I have a 1993 240sx con. When I first bought it, it had problems starting, and now it wont start at all. Several people (2 mechanics, and some friends) has suggested its the "Ignition coil", and now I have to get a new one, but dont have the cash to buy it brand new, so I think I'm going to "Pick a Part", and hope I get lucky and find a use one. My general question is, buying a use "Ignition coil" and putting it in my ride wont make the problem worse, will it??

as long as it works, and that is your problem, then no it wont make it worse. if the coil isnt your problem, it wont make it worse but not any better either. if you have a multimeter, you can test it before you buy
