Ignition Coil pack

My J30 was running fine untill I changed the plugs. I had one of the coil packs break. Would that cause it to sound like the engine is knocking,Because the coil pack is broken?

Did you use OEM NGK sparkplugs? Aftermarket ones are known to cause problems.

Are your injectors fine? Ohm test them, they should be between 10-14 ohms, anything below or above that is failure. Injector failure can cause shaking and knocking. Injector failure is a common age related problem on the J's.
