Just after some info on what you NA guys are running ignition timing wise at WOT, be it advancing the distributor or adjusting it with a piggyback ecu.

Im not sure of my WOT ignition timing. I usually run 17-18btdc base timing on my ka24e's with stock ignition system and maps. Trying to get an idea of a good na ignition map? I will be tuning my 8x8 table for ignition here soon, not with stock ecu, but with stock coil and distributor. Might be good info, and possibly help out what your doing.

Yep. :Dwith the SMT6 i'm running stock 15btdc at the distributor, and at WOT up to 6000 rpm i'm running an extra 6 degrees of advance on top of the factory map, approx 3-4 degrees else where in the map in the SMT6.I always run 98 octane too btw.

I have not yet been able to tune with my ignition setup. I plan to rig basically stock ignition system, and control it for starts with a flying magnet pickup system. This is only a temporary solution, (although i will still have 8x8 control) as a distributorless setup is complete minus modified crank damper. With this setup, i will be running a 10btdc base timing, will a full 8x8 as well. Although what i find using the edis distributorless system may be different than a suitable map using stock type system.

Heres a pic of my completed ecu, and palm pilot control. Megasquirt v2.2 with megasquirt&spark/edis modifications. I just like to show it off because i built it :)

I hate my hosting service, if it doesnt work then paste it in address bar.
