if i put my ignition key to on, and dont start up and take my keys out the passenger side fuse box IGN COIL relay starts buzzing furiously

i can disconnect battery terminals and the buzzing stops

starting the motor and shutting down doesnt exhibit the same behavior.

i need some help on figuring out why exactly the relay starts buzzing

Wait - I'm I reading this right? You mean:

1. You put the key in ignition.2. You turn key to on position3. you TAKE OUT THE KEY?

I don't recall cars being able to do that...unless something is wrong.

hehe, what i meant is that once i take my keys out of the ignition the relay goes mad. when ive started it up, and turn off, and pull keys the relay doesnt buzz..its just an odd thing it doesnt effect operation.

im mostly wondering if anyone has an idea where i could start.im not so good in the wiring harness department :/

Relay is going bad. That's exactly what I heard from someone. It needs to go one way or the other, but doesn't know where to go and got stuck in between. That's why it's moving back and forth making a noise. Sounds like time for a new relay. Do you have a test light? It's like $4 from Autozone. Remove minus cable from the battery and put the test light in between and see if light is on or not. You should see no or dim light. If the light is fully on, it means you might be having a battery drain due to a bad relay. If you don't drive a couple of days, car won't start, so take care of it ASAP.
