@ work and bored.. need help with your opinions.

i owned a 97 s14 kouki, since i have nothing to do i though i would just ask around to see what kind of brand / etc of "Coilovers" is best for 97 240sx. what do you all recommend? what has work good for you and what hasnt.

My top choices that i found at "thenismoshop.com" were:

Tein Type Basic Damper 240SX 95-98: $801.00

Nismo Coil-Over Shock Kit: $690.00

Nismo S14 G-Attack Suspension : $1,365.00

i was leaning toward the "Nismo S14 G-Attack Suspension" seeing that it was made by nismo (correct me if im wrong) and of corse prolly be perfect for 240sx.

(fyi: so far the price/cost i seen at the nismoshop.com are the best price vs others.. check out that site if you already havnt.)

well here's my 2 cents on the products you've given.

Tein basics: they're ride height adjustable, but they don't come with camber plates, and their spring and damper rates aren't meant to do anything other than daily drive. Don't expect an agressive performance feel with them.

The nismo spring/ strut combo: they're not adjustable. I've never ridden on them, so I can't say too much on its performance or feel. It'll give you maybe a 1.5" drop.

Nismo coilovers G-Attack: I've never ridden in them either, but they don't have pre-load adjustment. For that price, I'd rather get something with pre-load.

Nismos are usually over priced and over rated. For almost $1400, you can choose something that has more possitive feedback. Products like KTS, Stance, Kbee, Tein super street, tanabe pro so-c, Apex'i n1 and a few others are all in that price range and have great reviews.
