If you were to do it all over again...would you?

Discussion of Infiniti's amazing (and underrated) sport-luxury crossovers, the EX35 and EX37. For 2014, the EX series will be renamed QX50, in line with Ininfiit's new naming conventions.

I have done an extensive search for a new vehicle to replace my F150 that is coming off lease. I do not want to go to a sedan but I am looking at the E35 as a nice bridge. 90% of the time I drive by myself up and down the highway. I want something safe, luxurious and fun to drive. I am 6 feet tall and what to make sure that I will be comfortable. If you were in the market again for a new vehicle would this be on your list? Any help and assistance would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

I'm much shorter then 6' and I feel crampped at times.

I'd probably be in a G37X sedan if I could do it all over again.

I am 6'2.5 and find the EX to be one of the most comfortable cars I have owned.

My EX will be celebrating its one year anniversary at the end of the week. Best car I’ve ever owned (and there have been many over the past 25-odd years). If I had to replace it tomorrow due to (perish the thought) theft or an accident, I’d get the exact same model.

I’m 6'2" and the fit is perfect – never once felt in the least bit cramped.

The other car in the household is a 08 G35X. Also a nice ride, but of the two, I find the EX more comfortable.

Good luck with the car search – with all the discounts out there, it’s a good time to be buying.

I would do it but i would get a pair of rubber mats and a second pair of regular mats,...

I am also 6'2 and space is great in front, and more comfortable then my dads e320, The Honda Odyssey does have a bigger nav but after 2 hours the seats being some type of alien leather break your back in atleast 5 places..

If anything i would go to the BMW X6, Cost was obviously an issue.

Thanks for the help and insight. I am stopping at the dealers on my way home from work for an extensive test drive and final negotiations. As an earlier post stated it is a good time to be shopping.

Is the luxe package worth the $1,250? How much better or different is the ride with or without? As I am looking to save a couple of bucks this might be something to eliminate. Thoughts?

If you dont have passengers in rear seat all the time, EX would be considered very comfortable vehicle to you as well. The seat grabs you well, but remember it wont be BMW 7 series or MBZ S550 Comfort.

and to your question, YES I would choose this vehicle PLUS Tech PKG, but I am sure my baby would hate me doing it again. The Infant Car Seat and EX is just not a match.

I think the Luxe package is worth it for the Xenon self leveling, adaptive headlights, they are much better than Halogen. Also the 18" wheels are nicer than the regular ones.

I will probably do it again, yes. Its a very good vehicle with lots of power. Very comfortable seats too. I'm 5'11 and dont feel cramped. Although coming from an F150 might make you feel otherwise.

If not I'd probably be in a g37 coupe (original choice) or an Audi A3 or A4 or a bimmer 1 or 3 series. But once you start looking into Euro cars the price goes up a bit especially with a similarly equippped one. For the price and package of the EX its hard to beat.

The new lexus RX might be worth a look, saw it on tv the other night and it looks ok. Should have similar tech in there as well.

Definately. If you really don't want a sedan, then I think you might like the EX. However, have the dealer let you take out a G35X for comparison. The EX is way more "plush and comfortable", but the G is lot more "fun".
