sorry it took me a while to get around to doing this but here it issomeone told me about this and i decided to expirement

basically wht this consist of is taking the fat lower shackle off you leaf pack and flipping it over and mounting it on the top of your leaf pack.

What you will need:1. a deep 3/8th socket2. some leaf compressors as shown below3. a pair of visegrips4. jack and stands

steps:1. jack truck up and remove wheels2. undo all of your u-bolts3. remove the bolt in the middlt of your leaft pack to separate all of the elements4. the leafs will be filly drooped whe you try to put the leaf on the top so align the holes slide the bolt in and lift the springs with a jack then when you get closw to having them flat clamp them all togethere with the "leaf compressors" (shown in picture)

5. then tighten the bolts on the compressors to clamp the shackles together then install the bolt in the middle that holds them all together(should look something like this)

6. now reinstall your u bolts and blocks (if you have blocks)7. install wheels and your done.

i noticed two inches of drop and a more firm ride i like it alot and recomend it

here is a before picture of the leaf pack

and an after pic of my truck

comments welcome

how much more drop did you get out of the switch and have you tried out any handling stuff to see how it holds up?

i got about 2 inches of drop and it rides great im sure this coupled with some good shocks would be amazing for auto x

only problem is you get axle to frame and exhaust issues only downfall

A good C clamp also works to keep the packs together.

i want to do this so i can get rid of the blocks but i don't want the result to be that the back end raises up from where it is now. so it does drop it a full 2"??? if not i may just save up for the re-arch
