if you turbo os supercharger do you have to retime car

but he's supercharged...... It could be different from turboing

1 step colder plugs?Tuned?advance the timing alittle

just advance the timing as far as it will go and turn the boost up

The mechanical timing won't have changed, nor should the ignition timing unless it was manually adjusted, has the car been mapped to suit the s/c setup?

If possible get an ECU tune or an MSD BTM and set base ignition timing to stock.

If you can't get either, at least retard base timing about 1/2 deg. for every psi of boost over 4 and keep max boost under 8-9 psi.

Always use the FSM procedure to adjust ignition timing.

ok, thanks, its getting 5 psi on a 3 inch pulley and i have been playing with it today and got it to run a lot better but not right yet

i tried to get a video of it running but it was to bumpy and it started to rain so i had to stop for the day..oh and i really need to get to a exhaust shop fast
