I have a 1991 nissan 240sx and i have been trying for quite some time now to install a turbo on it. I have had the following problems:

The dowpipe does not fit. The flange is off by about a 1/4 inch becuase it hits the steering rod thingy.

The oil line kit supplied does not have the right size fitting and i had to get an adapter for the correct size.

the intercooler has been nothing short of a B*tch. The pipe from the cold side of intercooler to the "S" pipe had to be extended 3 inches.

The wastegate hits the AC hose and i dont believe it would be safe to drive it every day with it resting on it.

I have been in the process of replacing the engine and installing the turbo kit for about 2 months now. Im getting pretty tired of problems. I think im going to have to have a custom downpipe made at a huge expense, along with somehow fixing my wastegate problem. If anyone could help me thank you and if picks would help i can get some up later.Thanks,~SamP.S. all parts ive had the issues with are IAP

oh. beats me then, sounds like a ****ty fit. Just to double check (sorry if this is a dumb question but I've heard it before) you didn't flip the manifold over, did you? if I remember correctly you can't do that to a ka24de manifold anyway, but its worth asking anyway.

lol, no manifold flipping for me. Ive kinda cooled down since the initial finding and i think im just gonna bite the bullet and have SGP racing here in houston custom make me a downpipe and a hot pipe. But that doesnt solve my wastegate problem. I am told by a number of master mechanics that the pressurized ac hose is not something that is good to bend or vibrate.~Sam

You need to call Marc and tell him these issues. I'm sure he will take care of this.
