A rare option only available on special Q45's. 4-pot front calipers and 2-pot rear calipers. Uses the same brake pads as the Nissan 300ZX.

Falk - I need the proper lines first. I am getting a bit antsy, now.

Hitman - Not yet. The guy is working on it. A lot of detail work needed, to make it look good.

I am checking on Black and White lettering now. I also have a second set of Silver.

Shoot me an email. I'll trade you for a set of lowering springs!

Do you have any of the "stock" calipers left? I was hoping to use a set for off the car/free time rehab/painting.

BTW, I made the pic a clickable link to the HUGE one you had posted at first .

Thanks! I always forget how to make the image clickable.

I will have the old calipers available. I first want to do some 60 to 0 testing:

1. stock brakes with 12 year old DOT3 fluid.2. stock brakes with flushed DOT4 fluid.3. Z32 calipers, SS lines, DOT4 fluid.

Maybe I can lead some insight to the "best" brakes. I need to get my hands on one of those G-Tech thingys.

I hope to improve the brakes, but really just want the looks of the 4-pot brakes.

I better come clean.... They are 300ZXtt brakes, with all the "NISSAN" stuff ground off. I painted them black, and had some "INFINITI" logos made for me. The calipers and rotors are a bolt-on to the first gen Q. All you need is some conversion brake lines.

and even then you dont really "need" the brake lines, just cut down the bolt!

Jeff, what pads are you going to run?

I have some OEM 300ZX pads on them, that I will initially use. The rotors I bought are slotted and drilled (for looks, since they really don't help the car stop better), so they will eat up the pads fairly quickly. The rears are about 50% worn, while the fronts are brand new.

I knew it!!!!! I used a set front and rear for my 2002 maxima. Brackets were made, and front 13" Ford Cobra rotors were used!

Awesome to see that these made it a Q45. Makes me wish, i had pulled the brakes off my maxima before it was gone. Also looks like you got the aluminum calipers! Very nice.

The steel ones dont have the ridges on top, also skyline z32 ones can be used as well if these work.

Well, it is my spare Q45, and it does stop when I press that big pedal in the middle, eventually. I like to wait until I have everything ready before I start my work. And I did want to give you all a benchmark, because most of us buy these cars having never been serviced properly.

Guess what, the rear diff fluid is probably the original from Japan, too!)

I wasn't busting your balls, just shocked (shocked !) that you had never done this -spare car or not....

BTW: The calipers look cool, I hope you'll see the massive diff in braking that I did.
