No that makes no sence... he would be making 99 hp at 10600 RPM, and making 2880 Ft-Lb torque at 17800.....

Actually, because of the large RPM most equations do not apply to F1 engines. Most of the reports I have read suggest that most F1 engines produce from 830 to 900 hp at 17800 to 19000, And the MOST Ft-Lb torque i have hear is about 220. Now i do admit, i don't know what i was thinking playing the Ft-Lb torque so low, i should have put it around the 18K range.

And even using the basic

HP = (TQ * RPM) / 5250

850 = (250*17800)/5250

So that would be 250 tq at 17800.

But as i said, equations arn't that good, and I don't think that F1 engine are even producing that much tq, most are around the 200-220 mark.

I know that some people would rather have alot of tq and hp, and i do love the ka tq, but if i would have a race car, i would want revs.

mrfox- you would use the R6 motor? why not the R1 or hayabusa motor? you can never have too much power, i.e. turbo + bored/stroked 'busa motor.

if i had a billion dollars, which i most likely won't, i would:

import an A31 Cefiro, put in an Rb26 and use it as my drift machine. also bribe all necessary government officials to make it legal.

put twin turbos on my VH45DE

mate two CA18's together to make a V8, then stick the motor in a 240SX. one or two turbos? not sure

put an FJ20 in a 240Z, also put a CA18 in a 240Z

become a registered importer and do all crash testing necessary to legalize ALL non-USDM vehicles, starting with the Nissan President (like a Q45 but longer)

buy up all the local junkyards, and then take all the cars to a huge warehouse, and carefully remove all pieces, instead of leaving cars to rust outside

PLEASE NOTE: i won't seriously do these things, even if i have a billion dollars.

edit: i also realize the bribing officials and then legalizing all non-usdm cars conflict, but i decided to leave the cefiro part in.

Hehehe... Jspec you caught me. I actually did base the design off an older version of our school's FSAE car. It was a project for a vehicle design class, and since I already had the files, to save some time, in went the R6 and alot of the driveline bits from the SAE racecar.

Sultan: The R6 motor is a bit lighter than the R1 motor .... and there is something orgasmic about watching the tach go past 15k
