Well...aside from the S2000, that list sucks monkey ***. None of those cars would have been near the top (I love the S2000, but it doesn't fit my daily driver needs--too few seats, no hardtop, and no torque (unless it's Twelv's, his is torquey).

From that list, I'd have to go with the S2000.

Given ANY choice, I'd go with a GNX or similar semi-recent musclecar.

Everyone is saying STI, I think I'm the only one who said Evo.

What's with that?

Hmmm, I didn't see any of my cars on the list.

If I couldn't drive my 240SX, I either would be in my Lexus LS400 or my Z06.

The Corvette and the Ford GT are where its at.

But with the list I would have to go with the S2000

Mitsu Evo or Mazda FC

From the list, and if I could afford it, the S2000

For me, it would have to be either a awd or rwd car. I like some Toyotas and stuff. Mazda Rx-7 Fc, etc.

I love it

Really, 405 hp is a lot to master, I wouldn't even call myself able to master 30% of what the car can offer. If the stock one is already two handfulls, a supercharged one will need 5 hands. Tell your friend to get into driving schools/high-performance driving events/autoxes especially if he has never owned a car that can do 500-600 hp at the rear wheels.

Also, tell him to start saving money for the rear tires, 295/35/18 or larger tires are not cheap

Vishnu Stage 1 Evo still works on stock turbo, gets 0-60 down UNDER 4 seconds. That's pretty much just a reflash and a turboback.

Yes, it's got a bit of lag, but WHO CARES. You're always going to be within like 2000rpm of redline anyway when you're driving it hard.

Q: Will you still lose drag races to lightly modded STIs?

A: Yes, you probably will.

Q: Is drag racing for thumb-sucking lady boys?

A: Yes it is

I am not for certian, but this could be the 1JZ twin turbo, but I could be wrong. I don't know what year they started using the 2JZ...but still these rides can be fast as hell, and they are lighter than a Supra...
