This has been beaten up so many times that it's even funny.

The cars can be brought in; illegally, registered; illegally, titled; illegally, and driven; illegally.

There are ways to do it the right way, but it's only for the R33 models. Most of the R34's you are talking about are illegal and the owners are taking huge risks, which I am sure they probably know about. Some are Grandfathered in MotorEx cars.

You really need to read that article.

Not trying to stir up more crap but from what i've read the crash tests for the R32 and R34 are confidential and motorex nor Jk are letting the details out on what needs to be beefed up. Is that the same in japan with their crash tests? Cant the info from the Japan crash tests be applied to the us standards and then modified to comply with regulations? Just a thought.

Nope. Japanese crash tests are different. The bumpers on domestic market (Japanese cars in Japan) on average consist of a plastic skin over a sheet metal stamping. An average guy could take the bumper support and bend it in half. I don't see door beams either.

Woah never mind then.

Well is there any other country that has crash test standards closer or better than the US?
