.... I'd like to brag a little :D :) :D

I get an email Friday. Wayne at phase2 has a motorset for me, it's basically a front clip without the shell. Only thing it doesn't come with is the A/C hard line, P/S lines, and SMIC and piping. I get the radiator, JDM cluster, P/S resevoir, yadda yadda. For $2200, cash. It'll be available to be picked up on Sunday.

Went down there today, and I have good news and bad news.

The good news... the engine is now sitting in my friends garage, waiting to come back to life. The bad news, the oil pan has a small dent, although it's not in a spot where it would hinder the oil pickup, which is definitely good. It has a cut wiring harness, but I'm getting a new one, which is a damn good thing. About half of the hoses have been cut which really sucks because I'm going to have fun sourcing those, but I think Wayne at phase2 has them or at least most. Another good thing is that when they took the engine out, they cut the A/C hard line, instead of removing it. So the plug is still in it, which will make hooking up the A/C a lot easier.

I have the JDM radiator, fan shroud, MAFS, an extra turbo extension, and a DOHC KA power steering resevoir. I didn't get the side mount intercooler, but I'm not worried about that because I'm getting a deal on a FMIC/hotpipe/BOV combo. Other than that, it's in great condition, and I just have to wait for my 2nd motor mount to come in, clean up the engine and the engine bay, pull the old motor out of my car, and toss this sucker in there. I'm hoping to have it in by the end of the year.

Overall, I'm extremely happy with phase2. Wayne seemed to go the extra mile to make sure I had everything I needed, and that I was happy with what I got. Plus he reassured me about everything that was wrong with it, telling me it would be replaced. Wayne said that if we couldn't bang out the dent in the pan, he had an extra one he could give me.

I'm going down again this week to get a front bumper from a 92, get a downpipe and exhaust, rocker arm stoppers, front and rear main seals, valve cover gasket, ECU, gauge cluster, and probably some other miscellaneous stuff.

I'd say it's been a pretty good day.

Anyway, I just got home about an hour ago, so I'll take some pics tomorrow, it's too dark to try to take some tonite.

Wayne is a really nice guy to work with even though I don't keep in contact with him anymore. When I bought my red top ecu from him he was really helpful and tried to help me out on why my motor wasn't starting b4 he even sold me the ecu. Great guy I tell ya...great guy!

did you have to get those two side peices after the bumper to make it flush with the body. My 92 bumper on my 90 HB has a lip right after the bumper ends.
