i was adding up numbers right now... and im just gunna go sr... i was gunna go ka-t bcause of the torque and pull of it, which i love... but itll cost me less to go sr and i wont have to do too much to it.

If your 240 has a ka in it, it will 99% of the time be cheaper to turbo the ka compared to swapping in a sr.I dont know if you ran the numbers right, and frankly, you need to do MUCH more research before doing anything. Here is some advice, don't refer to upgrades in stages.

yeah, my number are absolute!... cuz im doing a rebuild of internals and just cp pistons, cams, eagle rods, steel valves, and valve springs and retainers add up to about $1800+ alone... and that not counting boring it out, turbo, piping, intercooler, and boost controller... so either your wrong or im part of that 1% where i t costs more...

Just so you know, i was gunna do a ka rebuild because my engine burns oil which gives me carbon build up in my valves and oil itself... so in turn bad oil gives me an unhealthy turbo and a hole in my pocket.

Well, since your ka is bad then a sr20 would be a good choice. Keep in mind that a KA can handle 350+whp/wtq on completely stock internals so you would not have to rebuild with forged internals unless your goals are higher than that. Also, the sr20 is going to have 160-170whp when you could get 200-210whp from a healthy ka-t with all sr turbo components (can buy these used for ~$800)Since you are going to have to swap an engine, I would set a budget and see what best fits that with your power goals and driving purpose. GOOD LUCK!

well, i can get a good sr20det for $1200-1500 and intercooler/piping for around $200 and im gunna wanna get nismo motor mounts thats another $200 and of courese a new radiator... so im lookin at about $2500 which isnt bad... and since i live in SOCAL to wont be hard to buy a SR in person
