Just so you know, i was gunna do a ka rebuild because my engine burns oil which gives me carbon build up in my valves and oil itself... so in turn bad oil gives me an unhealthy turbo and a hole in my pocket.
Well, since your ka is bad then a sr20 would be a good choice. Keep in mind that a KA can handle 350+whp/wtq on completely stock internals so you would not have to rebuild with forged internals unless your goals are higher than that.Also, the sr20 is going to have 160-170whp when you could get 200-210whp from a healthy ka-t with all sr turbo components (can buy these used for ~$800)Since you are going to have to swap an engine, I would set a budget and see what best fits that with your power goals and driving purpose.
