As the subject says... just wondering in case something goes out. If it can be operated manually, I'm not sure I would fix it.

Yep - I believe you have to turn the lever on the pump motor, then the top operates like... like... well, like a "cheap convertible".

Thanks Greg.

I have a suspicion that my drivers side line may be developing a slow leak, but don't want to get into fixing it right now if it goes out.

It can be manually raised and lowered. Just gotta do it slowly.

Well, you better turn the knob on the pump and do it othrwise it'll overload the system. If you turn the knob, it'll work just like regular manual top.

Is line busted or does it leak from the joints? You should definitely replace the line if it's the former, but if it leaks from the joints, you can try to tighten them up and see what happens. Actually, I stopped the leak from my power steering pump that way. I just tighten the bolts a tad bit and leak stopped right away.

Not sure what's going on. I found a film of oil under the driver side of my rear seat.

There are actually 3 pumps on ebay right now (it's a dutch auction). I might pick the lines and a pump up...

i'll never buy parts from russ (240sxpartsspecialist on ebay) again. i won the bid on a whole top frame back in september. he took my money and ran like the crook he is. i don't care what anyone says about how good he is... he has never returned a single message (whether ebay, email, fax, phone, whatever) since he told me he recieved my payment - which was $125 by the way. i will publicly urge my fellow vert owners to stay away from that guy.

If you pay via a USPS Postal Money Order, you can sick the Postal Inspector on him if he commits fraud...

i sent him a money order from my credit union...

he had good feedback (and lots of it) when i bought the part. he said he didn't like paypal fees (which i can understand). he asked for a money order and he seemed legit. we had great communication. so i felt comfortable sending a money order.

never again.
