my eaxaust sounds like a turd trying to talk, and its because of the massive hole in the resonator, could this giant hole do anything to hurt the performance of my car

interesting description. Is it stock or aftermarket exhaust? Since exhaust velocity is what relates to power, then I dont think that it would affect performance much at all. you would lose some flow after the hole, but backpressure would be lessened. I wouldnt worry about it. Some people have been known to run an open header with no issues.

Yeah That's how I figured out my Cat was bad! I had a huge hole in the exhaust before the Cat it was really noisy but it ran fine! Once I got the hole fixed my gas mileage went to the crapper because the cat was clogged!
