the car wont start if you have no compression(when valves are broken, which can't close).

but it depends, there's a lot of things that can make a car not start.

tho it could have been the valves since ya say it once started rough.

What led you to this position? Did you replace your timing chain and now it wont start? Or did you just come out one morning and it wouldnt start? Or did it die on you in traffic? Some more info would help.

Check obvious things like spark & fuel. Test your compression (if you can). Try cranking it with the radiator cap off (blown head gasket test). Look at the condition of your oil (milk chocolate consistacy also means blown head gasket). We need more info in order to better help you.

Well it started tapping really loud, later I found out the timing chain was about to break off, but I bought new chain kit and re-installed it, when I crank i here this slow winding noise, I keep trying different timing positions from ppl but doesnt still seem to crank. If u can guide me through some I would really think your COOL...lol

but for-real i am almost over this, I dont want to throw the car in the trash

Im getting a new starter put in as we speak, i blew that trying to crank it so many times

and i will check some of those ideas u said above....thanks

test the compression, that way you'll know if the valves are bent/broken.

Causes might be stuck/broken valve or blown piston ring. Put a tablespoon of oil in each of the no compression cylinders and immediately check compression again. If it goes up, rings. If not, valve. Another possibility might even be blown head gasket (between cylinder 1 & 2). To check for this, take radiator cap off and crank engine. If coolant shoots out, blown head gasket. Also check condition of engine oil. Chocolate milk, blown head gasket.

Before you go jumping to conclusions, lets first find out WHY you have no compression in 1 & 2. Largely because, replacing pistons is an engine rebuild. No way around it. So lets see if some other things are at fault.....

Has you car started at all since you put the timing chain on?When you were doing the timing chain, did you make absolutely certain that everything lined up correctly? (camshaft, crankshaft, oil pump, distributor)

Have a leakdown test done by the place thats doing your starter and ask them to find out where you're losing compression. That will determine the cause of the problem and you can go from there. You possibly could have misaligned the cams but I personally think you have bent valves. I believe the KADE is an interference motor.

I'd pay to have the job done if I were you. If you're dead set on doing the work yourself and aren't super technical I'd look for a new motor to just swap in. Doing a head is pretty technical work for a non professional and there are plenty of pitfalls along the way where you can get caught up *like you are now*.
