So I'm currently looking at an 03 M45. It has every option but NAVI. I'm sure the OEM can be added BUT how much would it cost???

I'm going to take a gues and say 1,000,000,000 billion trillion doll hairs. How close am I?

Not worth the money in my opinion to add one. I think Navigation in cars is somewhat over rated. I do not have it in my car, and I was kinda excited that it didn't. I think they are strictly for show, especially when you only drive around your home town. Do not let that be a deciding factor in the purchase of one of these cars. Now, as for the heated and cooled seats and sun roof................

Hello,Adding factory nav to an non equipped vehicle is not easy. In the 2003-2004, the cars equipped with nav used a 7 inch screen, while non navs had a 5.8 inch screen. This would not be cheap. I do beg to differ with Cake Daddy's assessment that navigation is only for show. Every time I go out of town, it is damn handy. Furthermore, it does add resale value. As for it being outdated, I have yet to find an instance. Granted, Florida is probably better mapped out than most States.Cheers, mark

I don't have a navi in my 07, they wanted 3.3k for it. i rather spend it on gas and a 20 dollar truck road map.

I am in the same situation. I found this thread and I think it is what I will do.

Looks like the took an aftermarket nav unit and hooked it to display on the factory screen.

YAY!! The units cost about 500 and install should be like 500 at and audio shop.

Navi is about the only option not on my M. In retrospect I am glad I did not spend the extra money to get it. A nice Garmin works just fine. I can also move it from car to car and get updates easily.

Glad I don't have the Nav. Not having it built in would be a plus to me.
