TOPIC IS BASICALLY MY QUESTION.... THE REASON FOR THIS QUESTION IS I'M CONSIDERING GOING TO 5-LUG FOR THE WIDER WHEEL OPTIONS, BUT THE STOCK SINGLE PISTONS BRAKES W/ BETTER ROTORS AND PADS WITH BE GOOD ENOUGH FOR ME. I JUST WANT TO KNOW IF S14 5-LUG ROTORS WORK ON S13 CALIPERS?

THANKS.

How about using the front and rear calipers and rotors on all for corners from a s14, would those all work?

The rear calipers are exactly the same, so that wouldn't make any sense. On the front, if the s14 is like the s13 (not sure and can't seem to find any info), then the abs model has slightly larger rotors and different calipers (2mm wider and 5mm greater diameter). I'm not 100% sure, but I think all 5-lug model s14's had ABS so that would mean if you wanted stock calipers & 5-lug on a s13, you'd have to either have abs calipers (from a s13 or s14 assuming they follow the same pattern the other calipers do) or redrill your 4-lug rotors.

Do any of you s14 owners out there have a FSM? We can use some specs on the brakes please! :)

I WOULD JUST DO THE REARS AS FIVE LUG THE FRONT WOULD STAY THE SAME. SO IF THE REAR S14 ROTORS FIT THE STOCK S13 CALIPERS I'M FINE.

Rears are fine, they were the same for every year...abs or not.

OK, I found out that the s14, abs or not, had the same rotors which happen to be the same size as s13 non-abs rotors. So unless you have an abs s13, the 5-lug s14 rotors will work no prob.

The 5-Lug S14 calipers are noticeably larger than the 4-Lug Calipers, as a result they have different mounting widths on the spindle.

My 5-Lug conversion faq at the top might shed some light on that.

I have a feeling the 95-96 calipers might be smaller than the 97-98 calipers only because I see seperate brake pads from the same manufacturer...doesn't anyone own a s14 fsm? :(
