What would ya'll suggest?

I'm tall (6'2") and big. Will I fit?

What is the CVT and what does it actually mean to driving conditions?

That's really all the questions I have for now, but I am sure I'll think of more. Thanks.

Hi milk ... had a brother in law who had a church in Cosa Masa he moved to Kelowna B.C. ... lots of room in the V and the transmission CVT is the same as in my Suzuki. Just means no service for 160,000 k and no bump in the gear changes because .... hey no gears. Enjoy

You should easily fit. Not only that, once you adjust the driver's seat for yourself, you should also easily fit in the seat behind you as well.

CVT is a Continuously Variable Transmission. It is a gearless automatic that uses a couple pulleys constantly changing ratios to simulate a gearless experience. Your RPMs will remain the same as you accelerate as long as you don't vary your throttle input.

CVT's are supposed to be more efficient than automatics (although early data from the fuel economy survey doesn't show a huge difference). It is most definitely a smoother transmission than an automatic.

At present, it appears the 6-speed manual gets better fuel economy than the CVT.

How big?

Im 6 foot 2, probably 40-42 waist, about 300lbs. I do lift/workout alot though. I would say im probably close to the max of what the car was designed for. I do have plenty of head room, but I would say Knee space would be the first issue if I was any taller. I feel comfortable in the car with no problems. I guess it depends on how much space you are used too.

milk, I don't know just how big you are but I'm 6 ft 1 in and about 235-240 and I fit just fine. It's not a spacious as say, a newer maxima, but the price difference and the economy make up for the size difference. It is by far the most comfortable and roomy of all the sub-compact cars out there.

Well, while we're on this topic... I'm 6'0" and a hair over 200 lbs. I had no problems with room whatsoever. I could have even moved the seat back farther.

Well, I'm 5' 7" and 150 lbs, I've had no problems fitting inside my car. Haha. I've taken around people much taller and heavier than I am with no problem, so you should be fine.

You'll fit just fine bro.. just take a test drive in one sit up front then jump in the back and enjoy the ride that's what I did on my first test drive in one..Oh yeah try taking some tight turns too then you'll get a feel for the handling and cars weight distribution...

It's nice knowing it's a stable car in the turns

Wow. I feel like a twig. I'm 6'1", and 160lbs. I chose the V because I could fit in the front OR the back, without moving the seat once it's set up for me. I'm one of the shorter ones in my family, so having space for everyone when I/They visit was important to me.

thanks for the feedback. it sounds like space shouldnt be an issue. now the only other question is should i wait for the 2008 model? Is there any word yet on improvements, changes in this years car?

also, im moving to seattle, where I understand Versas arent sold right now. will i have problems with dealers or will I have to vancouver to get my car fixed?

Versas have been here ever since the first shipment... in fact, Washington got an abnormally large allocation of them initially as kind of a test pilot program to see how well they'd sell. I personally bought mine on July 30th of last year. The lots here are overflowing with them now.

Now... as far as "problems getting your car fixed"... probably. I may not be the best person to ask about this because I am still FUMING over the incompetence of two different dealers trying to service my Versa... but neither Nissan of the Eastside (Bellevue) nor Campbell Nelson Nissan (Edmonds) were able to fix my TPMS issue... and Campbell Nelson STILL has not received the torque rod for my car that was ordered over a month and a half ago... (and I sold the car a month ago out of frustration)

Performance Nissan (Everett) is straight up a bunch of scheisters. Don't even think of setting foot on their property, you'll eternally regret it by way of the royal screwing you will get... they're so pathetic I wouldn't even trust myself to buy a bottle of touch-up paint from them.

So that leaves Burien Nissan (near the airport) and Younker Nissan (Renton, near Ikea) that I haven't tried.
